The Asylum's 2019 mockbuster, Monster Island, was released at the exact same time as Godzilla King of the Monsters.

As an asylum movie, it has roughly the same budget as a big kid's dinner and only uses it sparingly. This includes focusing on just a few (link to info) human characters and keeping its major actors in one set so that all their scenes can been filmed during lunch. Let's not forget that this is the kaiju movie genre, and they do it well, so maybe The Asylum will not be so bad with it.
